Pelvic Floor
A pelvic floor is a group of muscles and ligaments that are located between the tailbone (coccyx) and the pubic bone. These muscles and ligaments support the pelvic organs, including the bowel, bladder, and uterus (womb). During pregnancy, the pelvic floor muscles are stretched and weakened.
After giving birth (Postpartum) the stretching and weakening of the muscles can not only cause discomfort and pain. But can cause functional impairments such as loss of bladder control. In my three pillars, “Rest, Recover and Reconnect,” videos, we will go over pelvic floor range of motion, muscle contraction and exercises.

Hi Mammas! Welcome to the Bold Mamma community! I created the Bold Mamma program because I not only realized there is a huge gap between maternity care. But with traditional postpartum practices in the postpartum period, also known as the fourth trimester. In addition, I had no idea what to expect after I gave birth to my son. And I was also completely unaware of the physical changes my body would experience. Not to mention how to manage them. At the same time, I had no idea of how to safely progress back into working out.
